From there, our vetted ecosystem of contractors, consultants, and specialists takes over — each selected for their ability to meet our standards. From curb to backyard, every detail is accounted for.

Ignacio Rodriguez
CEO & Principal Architect

A self-made, visually driven architect with an elite portfolio spanning Southern California. Ignacio founded IR Architecture & Interiors in 2012 with a single goal: a principal-led studio where technical precision and direct client collaboration are never compromised. 

Beyond architecture, he has explored design visualization and emerging technologies to enhance the planning and development process, giving clients clearer insight into their projects before construction begins. A Southern California native, Rodriguez draws inspiration from the region’s landscape and lifestyle, integrating those influences into modern residential design.

LAUREN RODRIGUEZ
CFO & Co-Founder

  • Lauren Rodriguez co-founded IR Architecture & Interiors alongside her husband  in 2012 and has played a central role in its growth and strategic development, bringing her passion for entrepreneurship and disciplined leadership to the studio. Her background in marketing and leadership, including managing one of the top 10 producing offices in the country, informs the firm's strategic discipline and client experience. 

EILEEN CARTER
Lead Interior Designer

  • With over a decade of luxury residential experience and an architecture degree from the University of Wales, Eileen guides clients through every interior design milestone. From spatial planning to hand-selected finishes, she leads her team in delivering superior designs, ensuring the interior vision is as considered as the architecture.

JORGE PADILLA
Project Manager

  • Jorge Padilla brings nearly two decades of architectural experience to his role at IR Architecture & Interiors. From early design development through construction administration, Jorge manages the intricate process of bringing multi-million-dollar homes to life. He ensures projects progress with structure and discipline, maintaining code compliance, managing timelines, and guiding coordination between consultants, contractors, and clients.

CARLOS COLON
Senior Interior Designer

  • Carlos brings over a decade of experience in interior architecture, technical documentation, and project coordination across high-end residential, commercial, healthcare, and tenant improvement projects. A cum laude graduate of Miami International University of Art & Design with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Interior Design, he combines strong technical expertise in BIM and construction documentation with a refined eye for interior detailing, renderings, and material selection.

ERIC APODACA
Job Captain

  • Eric brings over a decade of experience supporting projects through all phases of design and construction documentation. A graduate of Woodbury University with a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, he has been an integral part of the firm for the past 10 years, contributing to a wide range of residential projects.

RICK RODRIGUEZ
Architectural Design Manager

  • Rick brings over a decade of experience in architectural design, visualization, and project development. A graduate of Woodbury University with a degree in Architecture, he has been a key member of the firm for the past 10 years, leading design efforts with a strong emphasis on conceptual development and rendering. His ability to translate ideas into compelling visual experiences helps clients clearly envision projects while supporting the studio’s commitment to thoughtful, design-driven solutions.

CHRISTOPHER TROYE
Business Strategy & Operations

  • Christopher brings a disciplined, operator-level approach to business strategy, systems, and execution. Drafted by the Boston Red Sox in 2021 after playing baseball and studying Economics and Philosophy at UC Santa Barbara, he has also successfully scaled a personal real estate investment portfolio—bringing a rare blend of elite performance, financial discipline, and strategic execution to IR Architects.

    He supports the studio by refining operations, strengthening strategic decision-making, identifying revenue opportunities, and building systems that create clarity, leverage, and long-term scalability for clients and projects.

ANGELA LEE
Project Manager

  • Angela brings six years of experience leading luxury residential, commercial TI, and interior design projects from concept through construction administration. A USC School of Architecture graduate, she combines strong design sensibility with technical precision, managing complex workflows, consultant coordination, and client-facing deliverables across multiple platforms. Her collaborative approach, attention to detail, and ability to balance creativity with execution help deliver refined, highly personalized spaces that elevate the client experience.

BYRON MARROQUIN
Project Manager

  • Byron brings over a decade of architectural and project management experience leading residential, commercial, and interior design projects from concept development through construction administration. With a Bachelor of Architecture from Woodbury University and expertise in client presentations, 3D visualization, construction documentation, and consultant coordination, he helps guide projects with both technical precision and creative vision. His hands-on leadership and strong understanding of construction processes ensure efficient project delivery and thoughtful design solutions tailored to each client’s goals.

MINEHLI BABAKHANIANS
Interior FF&E Specialist

  • Minehli brings a strong background in interior design, space planning, and project coordination across commercial and residential projects. She earned her BFA in Interior Design from California State University, Long Beach, and has developed expertise in design presentations, FF&E packages, custom interior detailing, and high-quality visualizations. Her collaborative approach, attention to materiality, and ability to balance creativity with technical execution help deliver thoughtful spaces that align with both client vision and project goals.
